Alicia

Alicia left her house. Like every night. That was not a special day. It was an ordinary workday. But it would not be a date like the others. Someone was following her and spying on her. She did not know. She could not imagine it.
Doctors told her that her wounds would take time to heal. Possibly one of her stabs would have serious consequences. She might never be a mother.
The man's breath tormented her while she was sleeping. She could not help dreaming of the moments when the rapist abused her. The young woman was obsessed and terrified when she was alone. She probably would need medication for many years.
Nevertheless, the authorities were silent. The government did not state anything. The regime-subsidized press did not comment the news. The government parties made veiled accusations that Alicia provoked with her political ideas. Only a few opposition parties complained. Alicia was only a statistic. The idealistic elected representative certainly had chosen the wrong political affiliation.
