She had always harbored a sense of envy toward her male colleagues who seemed to ascend the corporate ladder while she remained stagnant. Fueled by ambition, she yearned for her chance to showcase her prowess as a competent professional. Then, one day, that opportunity finally arrived. When she shared the news with her husband, he congratulated her with genuine enthusiasm. From that moment onward, her work hours grew increasingly extended, while her husband, conversely, began arriving home earlier and earlier after finishing his own workday.
